Security companies from around the world which provide training, both locally and globally, are members of the International Centers of Security Training Excellence (ICSTE).

Membership requires adherence to the highest ethical standards and the ICSTE Membership Rules of Conduct (available upon request) and International Standards Organization (ISO) rules, which include a demonstrated ability to acquisition and development of competence through teaching, learning techniques or research, as well as, aim to enhance the satisfaction of learners, other beneficiaries and staff through the effective application of its Educational and Operational Management System, including a process for improvement of the system and assurance of conformity of learners and other beneficiaries. Member companies provide core and specialty competency instruction, and certification based on national, State and local requirements for advancing comprehensive knowledge and various degrees of skillset mastery required for employment. Certifications are reciprocal between member States and are recognized based on international agreements.  Additionally, member companies offering accreditation for specific training based on country criteria, and adherence and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and ISO 21001: 2018 Management Systems for Educational Organizations, must demonstrate the ability to support the acquisition and development of competence through teaching, learning or research and must aim to enhance the satisfaction of learners, other beneficiaries and staff through the effective application of its quality management processes for the full development of the system and assurance of conformity to the requirements of learners and other beneficiaries.
